Local Pick-up
We will not allow our puppies to leave us until 8-9 weeks of age. Most puppies are ready and able to be picked up at 9 weeks of age but there are those smaller ones on occasion that require another week or so with mom. We want to make sure they are eating plenty and growing well before leaving us so if we feel a smaller puppy needs to stay behind an extra week or two please understand it is for the health and wellness of your puppy. You can pick up your puppy the day it turns 9 weeks old or within the week following it’s 9 week birthday. If you need us to hold your puppy past the weekend following it’s 9 week birthday due to your schedule there is an extra charge of $30 a week/$5 a day, but does include any vaccinations and dewormings due during the period they are with us.
Shipping
Shipping is available to most major US airports for an additional $300 . Shipping charge includes flight, crate (also used for crate training at your home), health certificate/vet check, transportation of puppy to airport, a towel for soft cushion during flight.
Shipping Dates
We typically ship puppies Tues-Fri following their 9 wk birthday. We typically schedule flights to depart Kansas City between 7-9am and arriving in at their destination from 3-6pm depending on the time changes and layovers.
Shipping Process
The shipping process is very simple. You tell us the top two picks for the airport you want your puppy shipped to and which day, Tues-Fri that works best for you. We call the airlines and make a reservation for that date and your airport choice. We will let you know exactly where you will go in the airport to pick up your puppy and will provide you with a tracking number so you can track your puppy online during it’s flight. We drop the puppy off at the airport for its flight and you pick it up at the airport when it arrives. Basically the same you would do to pick up a person from the airport, except you go to a different area in the airport. On the top of the shipping crate you will find 1) your puppy’s vaccination record, 2) a copy of the health guarantee signed by you and us for your records, 3) health certificate from our vet – likely enclosed in the see thru envelope provided by the airlines that is taped to the top, and 4) a small bag of dog food.
