Australian Labradoodle

The Australian Labradoodle was first bred in the 1980’s for the purpose of creating hypo-allergenic service dogs and consists of the following 6 breeds in it’s development: poodle, labrador retriever, Irish water spaniel, American cocker spaniel, English cocker spaniel, and curly coat retriever. We breed mostly mini Australian labradoodles (15-25 lbs and 14-16″ tall) but have one female that produces medium sized puppies (25-30 lbs and 17-19″ tall).  They are nonshed and have a fleecy-wool coat that is hypo-allergenic for most allergy sufferers. Australian labradoodles, much like the f1b (American) labradoodles, are very social, playful, smart, and easy to train. You won’t find a sweeter companion or more loyal breed than the Australian labradoodle. They are great with children and other pets. All our Australian labradoodles have genuine Australian lines from Tegan Park and Rutland Manor, pioneer breeding facilities of the Australian labradoodle puppy.

Our number one priority is to produce healthy puppies – Our breeding Australian labradoodle parents must pass several extensive health tests before being bred to ensure the health of their puppies and prevent passing on any genetic diseases. When you adopt an Australian labradoodle puppy you will receive a 26 month health guarantee against genetic diseases along with a shot record dialogging the dates of vaccines and dewormings. This information is important for veterinary care and health purposes.

Equally important to health is temperament. We strive to raise happy and well socialized puppies. From the time they’re born in our livingroom they never leave our home for a kennel facility or barn. Our puppies are whelped and raised in our home. From birth to 5 weeks they’re in our bathroom or laundry room just feet from my bedroom door and our kitchen. At 5 weeks old they move to the basement in a 10 x 10 room where they begin eating canned food. Our basement is our playroom and home school area so we are down there a lot! Our puppies are handled daily from birth by us and our children. They are used to household noises like the vacuum, buzz from the oven alarm, toilet flushing, tv, children’s toys, door bell, etc.

We realize that color is also an important factor in selecting a puppy. Our male, Huck, produces a fabulous array of colors: red, gold, apricot, cream, red sable, cream sable, black and tan phantom, chocolate and tan phantom, and parti!

The Australian labradoodle originated in Australia and consists of 6 different breeds infused in it’s development, as mentioned above. It is different from the American labradoodle in that the American labradoodle is a hybrid of 2 breeds, the labrador and the poodle. We guarantee that our Australian labradoodle puppies come from Australian multigen lines and provide a certified pedigree upon adoption of a puppy. We’re proud to feature details about our parent doodles on the “Labradoodle Parents” page of this website.
